These OCR (Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations) qualifications are competence-based. This means that they are used to assess an individual’s ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with their work. To gain this qualification the candidate must demonstrate their competence to the level described in the units.
What is an NVQ?
An NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) is a qualification that assesses someone’s competence (that is the skills, knowledge and understanding they have) within a work situation.
NVQ in Business Administration Level 2 and 3
The OCR Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Business and Administration is aimed at people who work as part of a team and ensure the provision of information and resources to others.
The Level 3 NVQ Certificate and Diploma in Business and Administration is aimed at people who currently negotiate, supervise, manage and contribute to the running of an office.
NVQ in Customer Service Level 2 and 3
The OCR Level 2 NVQ in Customer Service is primarily aimed at candidates who undertake a customer service role and recognises that employment in the customer service sector involves a diverse range of functions, tasks and activities that are constantly developing and changing.
The OCR Level 3 NVQ in Customer Service is aimed at candidates who will be delivering and managing service and will be accountable in the area of practice. Candidates will be working without direct supervisions or on their own, such as in a commercial customer service environment.
NVQ in Team Leading Level 2 and Management Level 3
The NVQ in Team Leading Level 2 qualification is ideal for those with limited experience of Team Leading, as they are designed to develop a broad understanding of all key aspects. As such, the qualifications will help to prepare any candidate for a job role with a focus on Team Leading.
The NVQ Management Level 3 qualification is ideal for those who have some prior experience in a Team Leading or Management role, although this is not a formal requirement. They may also be useful for those wanting to develop the broad in-depth knowledge required by senior management, in preparation for employment, or promotion.
Diploma in IT User Skills Level 2 and 3
This programme is designed for people who work with IT systems and software in a non-technical capacity. It is made up of qualifications and learning that will provide IT User apprentices with the skills and knowledge required to become competent in their chosen job role and is designed to ensure apprentices have an appropriate set of IT skills to operate in their specific chosen job role.
