If you have completed your Level 3 Early Years qualification or have the equivalent practical experience in an Early Years setting and want to advance your role, the Level 5 Diploma for the Early Years Senior Practitioner is the qualification for you!

You will learn leadership and management skills whilst building on your knowledge and understanding relating to early years practice.

The Early Years Senior Practitioner will be a positive role model for their team. Through clear leadership and effective management, the Senior Practitioner will support and promote best practice within legislative requirements to enable quality provision. Working collaboratively with colleagues, other professionals and parents/carers the Senior Practitioner engages and motivates all involved for improved outcomes for babies and children.

More Information

This qualification is suitable for learners already working in the early years sector in a managerial role, as well as learners that may wish to develop their career or increase understanding through professional development.

To be able to show competence in both knowledge and skills, learners will need to be working in the role of Leader, Deputy or Manager in an appropriate setting, or have the opportunity to carry out responsibilities associated with these roles to be able to study for the Level 5 Diploma for the Early Years Senior Practitioner.

Course Entry 

Aged 19+, working or volunteering within a suitable organisation. To be eligible for a loan, learners must currently be a resident in England, be a resident in the UK for the last 3 years (unless exempt), have the right to live and work in the UK.

 

This qualification is suitable for learners already working in the early years sector in a managerial role, as well as learners that may wish to develop their career or increase understanding through professional development.

Upon successful completion, learners can work as an Early Years Senior Practitioner within the Early Years Workforce across the private, voluntary and independent sector or progress to Higher Education in a relevant subject area.

Taking out a Learner Loan

To be eligible for a loan, learners must currently be a resident in England, be a resident in the UK for the last 3 years (unless exempt), have the right to live and work in the UK.

This option will gives you the freedom to pay over the course of your working life.  You will pay interest on this loan but you won’t start paying back your loan until you are earning the annual threshold.

Paying for your course commercially
The second option is to pay commercially for your course. This means you will pay for it in one lump sum, or, you can take advantage of our 0% finance payment plan explained below. This option gives you the opportunity to pay in instalments over the course of 12 months. You won’t pay any interest with this option.
