These sessions are designed to empower participants in identifying ways to deal with increasing their confidence and self-esteem. Aimed at those who may not need a Health Team Intervention but may just need signposting to techniques and tools and would like to be able to try self help techniques. The session focuses on what is confidence and what can effect your confidence. It asks participants to consider how they view themselves, and explore the power in words whilst aiming to describe themselves in a more positive light. We explore fears of failure, negative thinking, positive self talk, how to deal with rejection. Participants will engaged with various every-day techniques to help build self esteem and confidence.
The session focuses on mindset, explaining the differences between having a fixed mindset versus having a growth mindset. They will explore how to challenge their mindset and the benefits of having a positive growth mindset, along with the impact of this on their life, health, and work. The session will also promote mindfulness, explaining the benefits of being present and aware. Participants will use the session activities to practice these techniques, and consider how they may support themselves when going through challenges.
This session will support participants who perhaps are feeling in need of some direction and structure. They will explore the various benefits of setting goals, whilst identifying the eight types of goals one can set. There will be an opportunity to discover how Life Mapping can provide direction, as they learn how to think about key moments in their lives. Participants will explore the difference between Intrinsic and Extrinsic motivators and will be invited to consider what motivates them most. The session will include further use of the SMART technique with participants learning how to use this approach to set realistic goals. A participant will leave the session with ideas on what to do next, and where they can find help to do so.
This session is aimed at participants who require support with understanding how to manage their finances. The session will encourage participants to become more confident in budgeting and in moving from benefits to salary. They will learn how to identify and prioritise essential and non-essential spending. The Better off Calculator (BoC) will be demonstrated and will show participants how this can support them when applying for and accepting jobs, and recognising how they will be financially better off.
