ESOL for Work and for Life
ESOL courses at Learn Plus Us have been designed for participants who are unable to speak, read or write in English or those with a low level of English who would like to attend classes enabling them to communicate effectively with a variety of people. Employability Skills is a core element of the courses and participants will be supported to develop their job searching as well as interview skills. Our goal is to empower individuals with the skills needed to confidently search for and apply for jobs, and ultimately, gain fulfilling employment.

An ESOL for Work course will provide you with the essential language skills that you will need to be able to properly communicate in English. Through covering areas such as grammar and punctuation, writing and reading, and speaking and listening, you will develop a better understanding of the English language. Our goal is to help individuals in their journey towards finding employment and boost their personal and professional confidence so they can thrive in all areas of life.

ESOL stands for English for Speakers of Other Languages. It is a course designed to help people who do not speak English as their first language improve their skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. ESOL courses are useful for everyday life, work, and further education.
On an ESOL course, you will learn to speak, read, and write in English with more confidence. You will also improve your listening skills and learn useful words and phrases for everyday life and work.
Our ESOL for Work courses include job skills, such as writing a CV, job searching, and interview preparation.
Our ESOL in work courses focus on teaching English to ensure you fully understand your job, know how to keep safe, and can communicate effectively on the workplace
ESOL for Work courses generally run for 8-10 weeks, 4 days a week. Each class is 2 hours long.
ESOL in Work courses generally run for 3-5 weeks and each class is 2-3 hours long.
Our ESOL courses are taught by experienced and friendly teachers who specialise in helping learners improve their English for work and daily life. Between them, they speak 21 languages fluently and at least 10 more at a lower level!
Currently ESOL for Work is only accessible for participants on the restart scheme referred by their Employment Advisors/Coaches and ESOL in Work is for employers who wish to improve their employees’ English skills.
