For participants considered motivated and confident in entering employment. This course covers CV & Cover Letter writing, the Hidden Jobs Market, LinkedIn and Networking, Interviews, and Mock Interviews. The objective is to support participants in maintaining their best practices in their active job searching.
For participants interested in working in specific sectors. The course will explore the key values and characteristics of the sector, as well as identifying career path options. Included will be best practice for tailoring CVs and covering letters to elevate applications, with opportunities to discuss interview preparation, and peer-led mock interviews.
A cohort designed to develop the confidence and employability skills of participants under the age of 25. The course will teach participants how to decode job adverts, and how to recognise and promote their unique selling points. Also included are sessions on CV & Cover Letters, and Interviewing.
A cohort designed to develop the confidence of older participants. The course will cover confidence support, and how to maintain goals. There will be a chance to explore and identify unique selling points, and how to utilise them to enhance their CVs and job applications. The course will close with best practice in completing online job applications.
The workshop will inform participants on how to update and improve their CVs. This will include a discussion on how employers use AI when filtering applications, as well as how AI can support candidates. The workshop also includes best practice when writing a covering letter, as well as details on its practical uses. The session will emphasise the importance of tailoring for the job, and how to identify the most suitable structure.

The workshop will inform and empower participants to be able to update and improve their CV’S. They will have access to CV360 Via the Jobs 22 app, to support them in improving their CV. This will also inform them of how employers use AI when filtering applications. The workshop also includes writing a covering letter. A descriptive overview of the functions of a cover letter will be demonstrated, including structure, and format. There will be a focus on tailoring the letter for the role and specifics of why the letter is being constructed. The session will incorporate the importance of grammar, spelling and proof reading. Participants will create a cover letter in the session using their Jobs 22 App, which they can then save.
Understanding what transferable skills are and why they are an important aspect in job applications, cover letters, CV writing and interviews. The practical use of transferable skills when changing job roles, or sectors and how this can increase confidence in searching and applying for roles. Identifying personal and employment transferable skills that we have gained in life, hobbies, volunteering, work etc. Recognising your offer to employers identifying your skills, strengths and experience that you can transfer to a new role or new sector. How to confidently identify what your offer is and how to use this when updating your CV, writing cover letters, applications and in interviews.
